In this thoroughly explained, detailed lesson, I will show you how to create cool text crossing effect without action script code. You can use this text effect for any flash presentation, banner...Using this lesson, you will also learn how to convert any text into a Movie Clip Symbol, how to create Motion Tween and much more! Let's start!



Step 1

Create a new flash document, set width to 250 px, height to 150px, and Frame rate to 28fps.



Step 2

Take the Text Tool (A), and type any text. Then, set it on this position:



Step 3

While your text is still selected, press F8 on the keyboard (Convert to Symbol), to convert it into a Movie Clip.



Step 4

Insert a new layer, take the Text Tool (A), type any text again, and set it on the position like it is shown on the picture below.



Step 5

While your text is still selected, press F8 on the keyboard (Convert to Symbol), to convert it into a Movie Clip.



Step 6

Click on frame 15 and press F6. Do that for layer 1 too. See the picture below.



Step 7

Set the both text on same position. See the picture below.



Step 8

Select the first text, open the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3), under Color choose Alpha and set it to 0%. Do that for another text too.



Step 9

Click on frame 30 and press F6 for both layers.



Step 10

Then, set the first text on the position where was the second text and vice. After that select it and in Propertis Panel under Color choose alpha and set it to 100%. See the picture below.



Step 11

Select the both layers, and in Properties Panel under Tween choose Motion.





Test your Movie (Ctrl+Enter).
