In this easy tutorial, I will show you how to create a simple guide text animation using the guide options in flash and Pencil Tool.You don't have to use action script code to make this tutorial. You will also learn how to apply Alpha effect on text, how to animate it and much more!
Create a new flash document. Press Ctrl+J key on the keyboard (Document Properties) and set the dimensions of you document as whatever you like. Select any color as background color.Set your Flash movie's frame rate to 24 and click ok. See the picture below.
Take the Text Tool (A) and type any text on the stage.For this example I will type flashvault.net. See the picture below.
While the text is still selected, press F8 key (Convert to Symbol) to convert this text into a Movie Clip Symbol.
Double click on layer 1 to rename its name in text.
After that, select the text layer, choose right click and Add Motion Guide.
Now, you have this:
Then, select the Guide:text layer, take the Pencil Tool (Y), for Pencil option choose Smooth and draw a shape like it is shown on the picture below.
Click on frame 75 of layer text and press F6 key.Then, go back on the first frame and place the text on the position like it is shown on the picture below.
After that, go back on frame 75 and place the text on this position:
Choose right-click anywhere on the gray area between the frame 1 and frame 75 on the timeline and choose Create Motion Tween from the menu that appears.See the picture below.
Go back again on the first frame, take the Selection Tool (V) and click once on the text to select it. After that go to the Properties Panel below the stage. On the right, you will see the Color menu. Select Alpha in it and put it down to 0%.
Go back on frame 75 and press Ctrl+C key (Copy). After that, create a new layer above the layer Guide:text and name it text2.
Then, click on frame 75 of layer text 2 and press F7 key (Blank keyframe). After that, while you're still on frame 75, press Ctrl+Shift+V key (Paste in Place). Now, you have copied the text from frame 75 od layer text and pasted it in the same place on frame 75 od layer text2.
Click on frame 85 of layer text 2 and press F6 key. Then, take the Free Transform Tool (Q) and enlarge the text a lot.
While you're still on frame 85, take the Selection Tool (V) and repeat step 10.
Choose again right-click anywhere on the gray area between the frame 75 and frame 85 on the timeline and choose Create Motion Tween from the menu that appears.See the picture below.
Test your Movie (Ctrl+Enter).
