Magic circle effect

This tutorial will show you how to create magic circle effect, without Action Script.This effect is very attractive and you can use it for some flash banner, or somewhere. You will also learn how to draw a shape that we will use for this example, how to convert that shape into a Movie Clip Symbol, how to duplicate it on a specific way and more.



Step 1

Create a new flash document and set Width to 300, and Height to 250px. Frame rate set to 120fps (Frames per Second).



Step 2


Take the Rectangle Tool (R), click on Stroke color and choose No stroke, under Fill color set #C51508, and draw a "rectangle" 300x250px, as the background. Then, using the Align Panel (Ctrl+K), center it with background.





Step 3

While the background ("rectangle") is still selected, press F8 key (Convert to Symbol) to convert it into a Movie Clip.



Step 4

Double click on layer1, to rename its name in background.

Step 5

Insert a new layer and name it magic circle.

Step 6

Under Fill Color set #D3FDC1, take the Rectangle Tool (R) and draw a "shape" like it is shown on the picture below.



Step 7

Select the "shape", and press F8 key to convert it into a Movie Clip.



Step 8

While the "shape" is still selected, take the Free Transform Tool (Q), and move the center point of "shape" on the center of background. See the picture below.



Step 9

Then, press Ctrl+C key (Copy), and after that Ctrl+Shift+V (Paste in Place). After that, take the Free Transform Tool (Q), and do like it is shown on the picture below.



Step 10

Repeat this process, until you get this:



Step 11

Select the whole "shapes" and press F8 key, to convert it into a Movie Clip.



Step 12

Double click on a new made Movie Clip to go in its inside.

Step 13

Then, choose Modify > Group, to group the shape.

Step 14

Click on frame 3 and press F6. After that, go back on frame 1, open the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3), and under Tween choose Motion, and for Rotate set CCW. See the picture below.



Test your Movie (Ctrl+Enter).
