In this thoroughly explained, detailed lesson, I will show you how to change color clothes in flash using some special flash tips and tricks. You don't have to use action script code to make this lesson. Using this lesson, You will also learn how to draw a contour of clothes using the Line Tool, how to convert it into a Movie Clip Symbol, how to apply Tint color on it and much, much more! Let's start!

Example:



Step 1

Create a new flash document, press Ctrl+R key, and Import any picture of lady. (You can also donwload my picture).





Step 2

Double click on layer 1 and rename its name in lady. Then, lock that layer.

Step 3

Insert a new layer and name it contour.

Step 4

Take the Line Tool (N), under Stroke color set black color and draw the contour of clothes like it is shown on the picture below.



Step 5

Take the Paint Bucket Tool (K), under Fill color choose any color, and paint the lady, like it is shown on the picture below.



Step 6

Select only the contoure of lady, press Ctrl+X on the keyboard (cut), insert a new layer, name it Contour1, click on the first frame and press Ctrl+Shift+V (Paste in Place).





Step 7

Lock all layers except contour layer. Select it and press F8 on the keyboard (Convert to Symbol) to convert it into a Movie Clip.





Step 8

Click on frame 30 of layer contour and press F6 (Keyframe). Then, select the new made Movie Clip (color), open the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3), under Color choose Tint and set the options from the picture below.





Step 9

Go back on the first frame and in Properties Panel under Tween choose Motion.



Step 10

Click on frame 30 of layers lady and contour1 and press F5.
