Shadow and Gradient effects

In this tutorial you have a chance to learn how to create and apply a shadow and gradient effects on some picture, using flash filters. To create this tutorial you'll need to use flash 8. This tutorials is for people who have no experience of using Flash.

Step 1

Create a new Flash Documet and click on File > Import > Import to Stage (Ctrl+R) and import any picture.





Step 2


While your picture, that you just have imported, is still selected press F8 on the keyboard (Convert to Symbol ). In Convert to Symbol window under Type choose a Movie Clip, name it whatever you like, and press ok. Look at the picture below!



Step 3

Click on Window > Properties > Properties (Ctrl+F3).



Step 4

Then in the Properties Panel click on Filters.



Step 5

After that, click on the plus icon and choose the Gradient Bevel.



Step 6

Then, set the options from the picture below.



Step 7

Click again on the plus icon, but for this time choose the Drop Shadow.



Step 8

Then, set the options from the picture below.



Finally, you'll need to get this:
