Fading Text banner

In this thoroughly explained, detailed and simple flash lesson, I will show you how to create fading text banner. You don't have to use action script code to make this lesson. You can use this text banner for any animation and presentation. This text banner is so easy for create but in the same time very useful, especially for flash beginners. Let's start!

Example:



Step 1

Create a new flash document and set your Flash movie's frame rate to 30 and click ok.



Step 2


Select the Text Tool (A), choose any font, any size and type some text.



Step 3

While the text is still selected, hit F8 key (Convert to Symbol) to convert this text into a Movie Clip Symbol.



Step 4

Call the current layer text 1. Double-click on its default name (Layer 1) to change it. Press Enter once you have typed in the new name!

Step 5

Click now on frame 15, 55 and 70 and hit F6 key. While you're still on frame 70, select the Selection Tool (V) and click once on the text to select it. Then, go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. On the right, you will see the Color menu. Select Alpha in it and put it down to 0%.



Step 6

Go back now on the first frame and repeat the previous step.

Step 7

Right-click anywhere on the gray area between frame 1 and 15 and frame 55 and 70 on the timeline and choose Create Motion Tween from the menu that appears.



Step 8

Create now a new layer above the layer text 1 and name it text 2.

Step 9

After that, click on frame 65 of layer text 2 and hit F6 key. While you're still on frame 65, select the Text Tool (A) again and type some other text.

Step 10

While the text is still selected, hit again F8 key (Convert to Symbol) to convert this text into a Movie Clip Symbol



Step 11

Click now on frame 80, 120 and 135 and hit F6 key.

Step 12

While you're still on frame 135, repeat step 5. Do this also for frame 65.

Step 13

Right-click anywhere on the gray area between frame 65 and 80 and frame 120 and 135 on the timeline and choose Create Motion Tween from the menu that appears.



We're done!

Test your Movie (Ctrl+Enter) and enjoy!
