This detailed, thoroughly explained tutorial will show you how to create very useful and interesting most expensive cars listing using the mask.You don't have to use action script code to make this tutorial. This tutorial you can use for some flash banner, header, presentation... Using this tutorial, you will also learn how to import any photo into a flash library, how to place it on the flash stage using, aligned it with the background using the Align Panel and much more!
Example:
Step 1
First of all, download my photos of most expensive cars to make this lesson more quickly.
Step 2
Open a new Flash document (File > New > Flash Document). Press Ctrl+J key on the keyboard (Document Properties) and set the width of your document to 450 pixels and the height to 248 pixels (as the dimensions of photos). Select white color as background color. Set your Flash movie's frame rate to 34 and click ok. See the picture below!

Step 3
Choose File > Import > Import to Library. In the file explorer window that appears, find a nine photos of cars and Shift-click to select them all.Then click open. If you now open your flash library (Ctrl+L key) you will see a nine photos that you just imported. See the picture below.

Step 4
Take now the Selection Tool (V) and double click on layer 1 to rename its name into a photo 1.
Step 5
Take now the Selection Tool (V) and using the drag and drop technique, move the first photo from the Library on the stage.
Step 6
While the photo is still selected, go to the Align Panel (Ctrl+K) and do the following:
1. Make sure that the Align/Distribute to Stage button is turned on, 2. Click on the Align horizontal center button and 3. Click the Align vertical center button.

Step 7
Click now on frame 100 and press F5 key.
Step 8
Create now a new layer above the layer photo 1 and name it mask1.
Step 9
Select mask 1 layer, take the Rectangle Tool (R) and draw a rectangle on the left side of flash stage about 30x250px. See the picture below!

Step 10
After that, click on frame 5 and press F6 key. While you're still on frame 25, take the Free Transform Tool (Q) and do like it is shown on the picture below!

Step 11
Click now on frame 95 and 100 and press again F6 key. While you're still on frame 100, take again the Free Transform Tool (Q), press and hold down Shift key and do like it is shown on the picture below!

Step 12
Take now the Selection Tool (V), select the first frame and go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. Then, for Tween drop down menu choose Shape. See the picture below!

Do this also for frame 95.
Step 13
Select now mask 1 layer and convert it to a mask by right-clicking on the mask 1 layer and selecting Mask. See the picture below.

Step 14
Create now a new layer above the layer mask 1 and name it photo 2. After that, click on frame 100 and press F6 key. While you're still on frame 100, move the second photo from the library on the stage.
Step 15
While the photo is still selected, repeat step 6.
Step 16
Click now on frame 200 and press F5 key.
Step 17
Create now a new layer above the layer photo 2 and name it mask 2.
Step 18
Click now on frame 100 of layer mask and press F6 key. Then, draw a rectangle on the right side of flash stage about 30x250px. See the picture below!

Step 19
Click now on frame 105 and press F6 key. While you're still on frame 105, take the Free Transform Tool (Q) again and do like it is shown on the picture below!

Step 20
Click now on frame 195 and 200 and press F6 key. While you're still on frame 200, take again the Free Transform Tool (Q) and do like it is shown on the picture below!

Step 21
Go back on frame 195 and in the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage, for drop down menu choose Shape. Do this also for frame 100.
Step 22
Select now mask 2 layer and convert it to a mask by right-clicking on the mask 3 layer and selecting Mask.
Now, that's it!
