See this lesson and learn how to create gradient cubic reverse flash menu using the action script. This flash menu is intended for some business and fashion web sites, but you can use it for every other sites if you like. In this lesson, you will also learn:
1. How to design a cubic gradient menu using the rectangle tool, 2. How to animate cubic menu, 3. How to use Color Mixer Panel, 4. How to use Flash filters, 5. How to use reverse frames option, 5. How to use action script panel and how to apply it on menu to make it more powerful and more.
Example:
Step 1
Create a new flash document. Select Modify > Document (shortcut key: Ctrl+J ). Set the width of your document to 450 pixels and the height to 400 pixels. Select white as background color. Set your Flash movie's frame rate to 26 fps and click ok.
Step 2
Take the Rectangle Tool (R) and go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. Then, choos the following options:
1. Enter #C9C9C9 for the stroke color. 2. Enter white for the fill color. 3. Select broken line as the type of outline, with the line thickness set to 2.

Then, draw a four rectangles like it is shown on the picture below.

Step 3
Take the Selection Tool (V) and select only the Fill color of the first rectangle. See the picture below.

Step 4
After that, while the Fill color is still selected, go to the Color Mixer Panel (Window > Color Mixer - shortcut key: Shift+F9). Then, choose the following options:
1. In the Type drop-down menu select the Linear option, 2. Click on the small square situated on the left side of the gradient strip. Select pure white (#FFFFFF) as its color. 3. Click on the second little square and select #F0F0F0 as the color.

Step 5
Do that also for every other rectangle. ;)
Now, you have this:

Step 6
Take the Text Tool (A) and go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. Then, choose the following options:
1. Select a Static Text field, 2. Select a Eurostar as font. 3. Choose 13 as font size, 4. Select white as color, 5. As the rendering option, select Use Anti-alias for readability.

Then, type on the top left corner of the first rectangle "Company". See the picture below.

Do that also for every other rectangle.

Step 7
Take the Selection Tool (V) and select only the first rectangle and text. See the picture below.

Then, press F8 key (Convert to Symbol) to convert this rectangle and text into a Movie Clip Symbol. See the picture below.

Step 8
While the new made Movie Clip is still selected, go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. On the left side, You will find the Instance name input field there. Call this Movie Clip Company_mc.

Step 9
Double-click on the movie clip on stage with the Selection tool(V).You should now be inside the Movie Clip.
